Oyetola Reiterates Committment to Yoruba Cultural Promotion.
has reiterated his commitment towards promoting Yoruba cultural values in order to fast track the development of culture and tourism in the State.
Governor Oyetola who spoke through the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Obawale Adebisi stated this in Osogbo during a meeting held with the Committee of of Yoruba indigenes residing in Ghana.
While affirming that Yoruba indigenes abroad will not be forgotten, the Governor called for their constant visitation in order to give them a sense of belonging.
The State helmsman then reiterated that government is willing to support Yoruba indigenes abroad who show readiness to develop their cultural heritage willingly.
He then thanked the visiting committee from Ghana, led by Prince Olawale Jose,who is also the King of Yoruba indigenes in Ghana, for not forgetting their source, which is Ile Ife.
In his own remarks, the King of the Yorubas in Ghana, Prince v heOlawale Jose appreciated Mr Governor for the kind gesture and promised that they will come home often to enable them contribute towards the total development of their home State.
He however commended the State government for always being supportive to the causes of the Yoruba race in the diaspora,saying this is an encouraging development.
Present at the meeting were the Coordinating Director in the Ministry, Mr Samuel Adeniyi and other top ranking officers in the ministry.
