Osun Govt. apprehends quack Veterinary Doctor in Osogbo.

The State Government of Osun through the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security today in Osogbo apprehended a quack veterinary doctor who has been going about injecting pets and duping unsuspecting residents of the State Capital, Osogbo.

According to officials of the Ministry of Agric, the quack vet doctor who resides around Old Governor's office could not produce his Veterinary Council of Nigeria (VCN) number upon request.

Briefing newsmen, the Director, Veterinary Services , Ministry of Agric, Dr. (Mrs)Abosede Olatokun said the suspect has since been handed over to men of the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation.

She  warned members of the public most especially pet owners to be wary of quack veterinary doctors  going about relating duping  unsuspecting pet owners.

Mrs Olatokun however, adviced members of the public to desist from patronizing fake veterinary doctors as doing so puts the life of their pets and other animals at risk, warning that any quack doctor found guilty will be made to face the full wrath of the law.

Use farm tools, processing equipments given you to progress your farming businesses, Osun Agric Commissioner urges women in Agriculture

 Tobiloba-Taiwo Awofadeju  Osun State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Tola Faseru, has enjoined the women farmers in the State, especially in Atakumosa East Local Government Area to ensure that the farming processing equipment, tools and livestock distributed to them are used solely for the purpose of growing their agricultural businesses. Osun LGSC career head directs HLAs to make imprest a first line charge

By Jide Akano Heads of Local Government Administration (HLAs) in Osun State have been directed to make the issue of monthly imprest their first line charge while dispensing their monthly allocation. This directive was given by the Permanent Secretary in the Local Government Service Commission, Barr. Adeoye Popoola at a crucial management meeting with the HLAs in Abere. Barr.
