Osun House of Assembly Commends State's Finance Conglomerate for Assisting Gov. Oyetola in stabilizing Economy.



....as Finance Commissioner promises more transparency in governance.



The State of Osun House of Assembly has commended the State's Finance Conglomerate led by the Commissioner for Finance, Mr Bola Oyebamiji for it's financial re-engineering and assisting the Governor in the efforts to stabilize the state's economy.

Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Hon. Taiwo Olodo gave the commendation on behalf of the Assembly at the hallow chamber of the house on Monday during the budget defense of the Ministry of Finance.

Hon. Olodo said it is worthy of praise especially on the part of the Finance conglomerate led by Mr Bola Oyebamiji for helping the state steady the ship and keep it afloat despite the harsh economic realities facing the world at large.

He said the sterling performance of the Osun Internal Revenue Service (OIRS) which is helping the state to generate revenue and survive the troubled financial situation the world is facing is due to the efficient supervision of the Finance Commissioner.

According to Hon. Olodo, "that we are all seating here today is due to the financial management skills of the entire Finance Conglomerate led by Hon. Bola Oyebamiji, we must not fail to commend the entire team for keeping the state afloat even in the face of the current financial challenges facing the entire world.

"That Governor Adegboyega Oyetola is paying full salaries as at when due, attending to the needs of pensioners and at the same time embarking on infrastructural developments across the state is due to the tireless efforts of Osun. finance conglomerate.

"The world, Nigeria and the State of Osun is yet to recover fully from the devastating effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, the price of crude oil has plunged down, we are surviving today because of the financial management skills of Mr Governor through the finance conglomerate". The lawmaker stated.

Speaking earlier while presenting the budget estimate of the finance conglomerate, Commissioner for Finance, Mr Bola Oyebamiji promised that the entire team will continue to work assiduously to ensure the Ministry fulfils it's mandate of promoting and institutionalizing transparency in government which Governor Oyetola preaches.

Osun LGSC career head directs HLAs to make imprest a first line charge

By Jide Akano Heads of Local Government Administration (HLAs) in Osun State have been directed to make the issue of monthly imprest their first line charge while dispensing their monthly allocation. This directive was given by the Permanent Secretary in the Local Government Service Commission, Barr. Adeoye Popoola at a crucial management meeting with the HLAs in Abere. Barr.
