Osun water Commissioner seeks support from Associations under water sectors in the State.

                                     
                                                                    
            


Commissioner for Water Reasouces and Energy in the State of Osun, Engr. Raheem Tadese has commenced series of meetings with Associations of various groups which  fall under water sectors. 

This, according to the Commissioner, is with a view to securing  harmonious working relationship with the various Associations under Water Sectors as well as the newly created Osun State Water Regulatory Commission (OSWRC) 

Tadese further disclosed that the meetings are targeted at creating awareness about the mandate of the newly created Water Regulatory Commission. 

The Commissioner, who was represented by the Executive Secretary of the Commission, Engr. Luqman Moronkola explained that the Commission was established to ensure quality and sustainable service delivery in  water supply and waste management sector in the State. 

The Commissioner assured the various Associations that the Commission is ready to ensure optimal utilization of reasouces for service provision  by creating, promoting and preserving efficient industry in the state. 

In their separate remarks, the Chairman of Drillers Association in the State, Bola Ogunjimi appreciated the State Government for creating a conducive environment to discuss issues relating to water sector and for the privilege given the Associations to discuss their challenges and the way forward. 

Also the Chairman, Master Baker's Association, in the State of Osun,  Alhaji Ona Ope po, who was represented by the Muritala Adeeyo, thanked Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for  the establishment of the Commission at this time, promising to support the Commission to thrive. 

Others Associations at the meeting were Association of Table Water Producers in the State, Tankers Drivers Associations and others Associations relating to water sector.

Use farm tools, processing equipments given you to progress your farming businesses, Osun Agric Commissioner urges women in Agriculture

 Tobiloba-Taiwo Awofadeju  Osun State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Tola Faseru, has enjoined the women farmers in the State, especially in Atakumosa East Local Government Area to ensure that the farming processing equipment, tools and livestock distributed to them are used solely for the purpose of growing their agricultural businesses. Osun LGSC career head directs HLAs to make imprest a first line charge

By Jide Akano Heads of Local Government Administration (HLAs) in Osun State have been directed to make the issue of monthly imprest their first line charge while dispensing their monthly allocation. This directive was given by the Permanent Secretary in the Local Government Service Commission, Barr. Adeoye Popoola at a crucial management meeting with the HLAs in Abere. Barr. Popoola who averred that it would be in the best interest of local government councils to pay monthly imprest regularly, in order to enhance work productivity  as well as boosting the morale of workers.
