NUJ to Induct Osun finance Commissioner, Oyebamiji, others into Hall of Fame.




The Nigerian Union of Journalists( NUJ), Osun State Council has listed Osun Commissioner for Finance, Bola Oyebamiji alongside other eminent personalities to be inducted into it's hall of fame in Osogbo tommorow.

Other personalities to be inducted alongside Oyebamiji are: Chairman of APC in Osun, Prince Adegboyega Famodun, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Sammya Nigeria LTD, Engineer Adigun Sammy Oreoluwa and the Pioneer Chairman of NUJ in Osun State, late Comrade Lekan Awoyemi.

The programme which will have His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni Of ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi as the Royal father of the day will hold at the NUJ Press Center along Dada Estate road by 10 O'clock in the morning.

According to statement signed by the Chairman of the Osun NUJ, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu and the Secretary, Comrade Bukola Elufadejin,  Bola Oyebamiji was chosen to be inducted because of his selfless service to humanity anytime he is called upon.

The statement adds that the Osun Commissioner for Finance has shown over time that he is a man of integrity who has been a reliable supporter of the union's activities and programmes in times past, while also describing him as an exemplary individual whom others should emulate.

The Chairman, League of Veteran Journalists, Prince Kayode Adedire, is the Chairman of the occasion while the State Head of Service, Dr. Olowogboyega Oyebade will be the Special Guest of Honour.

Professor Wasiu Ademola Oyedokun of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti will be speaking on the topic “Vote Trading:Implication and Prospect of Democracy in Nigeria” at the event which will be hosted by the Chairman, Osun Council of NUJ, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu.

Use farm tools, processing equipments given you to progress your farming businesses, Osun Agric Commissioner urges women in Agriculture

 Tobiloba-Taiwo Awofadeju  Osun State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Tola Faseru, has enjoined the women farmers in the State, especially in Atakumosa East Local Government Area to ensure that the farming processing equipment, tools and livestock distributed to them are used solely for the purpose of growing their agricultural businesses. Osun LGSC career head directs HLAs to make imprest a first line charge

By Jide Akano Heads of Local Government Administration (HLAs) in Osun State have been directed to make the issue of monthly imprest their first line charge while dispensing their monthly allocation. This directive was given by the Permanent Secretary in the Local Government Service Commission, Barr. Adeoye Popoola at a crucial management meeting with the HLAs in Abere. Barr. Popoola who averred that it would be in the best interest of local government councils to pay monthly imprest regularly, in order to enhance work productivity  as well as boosting the morale of workers.
