Governor Oyetola approves the renovation of Osogbo township stadium

---lauds Osun Babes for doing the state proud recently


 

To give it a befitting look and to enhance maximum productivity  in the field of sports,the governor of Osun state, Adegboyega Oyetola has given an approval for a complete renovation of Osogbo township stadium,Osogbo with immediate effect.

Commissioner for Youths and Sports in Osun state, Yemi Lawal disclosed this in Osogbo,the state capital during a get together organized for the State female football team, Osun Babes.

The Commissioner who told the female footballers and their male counterparts,Osun United to be up and doing in their performances re-emphasized that the welfare of the  players  and their officials will remain one of  the top  priorities  of his ministry for optimum performance of the two  teams in  the 2022 football year.

The Commissioner stated this against the backdrop of the recent  superlative performance of Osun Babes F.C at a football encounter which took place in Ile-ogbo, Osun State.
        
 While congratulating the team on behalf of the state Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola for doing the state proud at that encounter, Lawal who was also  visibly happy with the performance of the star studded Osun Babes F.C  emphasized that  he will do everything humanly possible to ensure that the team enjoys the full support of the State  Government at all times  in order to enable them  project the name of the State to an enviable height in their subsequent football encounters.

The Commissioner who was supported by the top officials of his Ministry at the grand reception party noted that the State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola in line with his known friendly disposition to sporting activities will not expect anything less than the best from them at all times. 
 
While assuring the team  of the review of  their monthly salaries and allowances to encourage them to put in their best all the time, he also  called on  the newly signed players of Osun Babes to quickly complete their contract signing  agreement with the State Government in order to partake in the many largesse awaiting them in Osun.

Lawal further pledged a resolve to get new buses for the two State owned football teams, Osun United and Osun Babes.

He, however, sought the love and support of the two teams towards the actualisation of the huge investment of Governor Oyetola on them, stressing that to whom much is given much is expected.

In her words of appreciation, the Assistant Captain of Osun Babes, Sarah Iloduba on behalf of the visibly appreciative  players acknowledged and hailed  the magnanimity of the State  Commissioner for Youths and sports, Yemi Lawal and in particular, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola which according to her gave birth  to the success recorded by  the team in their last encounter.
     
While promising to keep the tempo of their performances high in their subsequent football outings  at both local, national and even international levels in 2022, Iloduba  implored the State  Government to hasten up the fulfilment of many of its pledges to them.

Use farm tools, processing equipments given you to progress your farming businesses, Osun Agric Commissioner urges women in Agriculture

 Tobiloba-Taiwo Awofadeju  Osun State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Osun LGSC career head directs HLAs to make imprest a first line charge

By Jide Akano Heads of Local Government Administration (HLAs) in Osun State have been directed to make the issue of monthly imprest their first line charge while dispensing their monthly allocation. This directive was given by the Permanent Secretary in the Local Government Service Commission, Barr. Adeoye Popoola at a crucial management meeting with the HLAs in Abere. Barr. Popoola who averred that it would be in the best interest of local government councils to pay monthly imprest regularly, in order to enhance work productivity  as well as boosting the morale of workers.
