Osun Govt. Swears-in Family Court Assessors




 


The Ministry of Women, Children and Social Affairs in collaboration with Osun State Judiciary, has sworn-in a new set of Family Court Assessors in the State High Court, Osogbo, the State Capital.

The swearing-in ceremony was performed by the Chief Judge of Osun State, Honorable Justice Adepele Ojo.

While speaking, the Chief Judge of Osun, Honorable Justice Adepele Ojo congratulated the Assessors who are all  experienced in children welfare and family matters, charging them to take up the crucial role in accordance with the Child Right Law 2017 of Osun State,
adding that the Family Court virtually takes care of family matters ,especially where the child right is to be protected.

At the swearing-in ceremony, which had Magistrates of the Family Court in attendance, the Chief Justice who was represented by Honorable Justice Olayinka Afolabi urged them not to allow interference from anyone in any case pending before them as Assessors, saying that they must always remember the oath they took before man and God and discharge their duties without fear or favour.

The Chief Justice also enjoined the Assessors to always be punctual anytime they have sitting in the Court, while charging them to get themselves conversant with the provision of the law that creates the Family Court, alerting that their appointment confirms on them the judicial function.

While responding on behalf of other Family Court Assessors, Mr Femi Ayedun appreciated the State Government, under the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and the Chief Judge for making the day a success.

He pledged that they will perform the task as expected without fear or favour. He further solicited for the establishment of Family Court in other two senatorial districts of the State for justice to be dispensed appropriately.

The newly sworn-in Family Court Assessors, which is led by  Mrs H.O Mosadomi,include: Mr. Olusegun Akande, Mrs. O.B.A. Babalola,Mr.S.B Akinjole, Mr. L.O. Sunmola,Mr. O.O Adepoju,Mr. Bode Adegbite,Mrs. M.O Niniola,Mrs S.J.O Ogunniyi and Mrs. G.F Adegoke.

Others are: Mrs. G.O. Fasakin,Mr. Femi Ayedun, Honorable (Mrs) Oluremi Wilson and Mrs Abiodun Adedeji.

Osun First Lady advises ICT trainees to maximize aquired knowledge

An Islamic Scholar and Community Leader, Mr Musibau Adebayo Adegboye has described his late mother Alhaja Rafatu Olorunkemi Asande Adegboye, a.k.a Arowoseadinni of Mubaraka Mosque Osogbo in Osun State as a good mother not only to her children, but to the entire children that came across her.
