Osun 2022: APC Inaugurates Campaign Committee

In preparation for the Osun State gubernatorial election slated for July the 16th, 2022, the state Chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress Party, (APC )has inaugurated a campaign committee that will see to the re-election of the incumbent Governor, Mr  Adegboyega Oyetola for a second term.

The inauguration ceremony which held at the State party Secretariat, Osogbo was done with fanfare as it had in attendance all members of the party from across the State including the Chieftains and Leaders of the  party.

While speaking, the State Governor ,Mr Adegboyega Oyetola  thanked party members for their unflinching support for the successes so far  recorded during the first term of his administration in the State.

He also congratulated the committee members who were inaugurated for being  counted   worthy among thousands of members in the party to carry out the assignments.  He noted that, their selection serves as an opportunity to continue the good works which his administration have  started beyond 2022.

Governor Oyetola further opined that the task ahead of him and them should be  a responsibility to the people of the State, while charging them to be dedicated, innovative, and creative in the discharge of their duties.

The number one citizen further enjoined the committee members to approach the assignment with high level of maturity, loyalty , sincerity, humility and  all sense of seriousness without any rancour  stressing that, they should tell people about the achievements  of the  present administration in less than four years in office.

Speaking shortly after the swearing in of the committee, the Senator representing Osun Central Senatorial district who doubles as the State  Campaign Director General, Ajibola Bashiru charged members of the inaugurated committee to be alive to their assigned responsibilities noting that the focus at all times should be to work for the re-election of Governor Oyetola.

Senator Bashiru  reiterated that their emphasis should be on the achievements  of Oyetola in the State such as the  provision of good and motorable roads, prompt payment of workers salaries, good and affordable health care system with the renovation of 332 maternity Centres throughout the state and an  improved standard of education among others.

He also urged the members of the committee to focus their campaign on the electorates and not the opposition parties, while noting that, their campaign should start from their own houses and communities.

Senator Bashir who noted  that the tasks ahead are enormous , however , pledged that the committee will be 
strategic, diplomatic and focused in addition to being  compassionate in  working  for the re-election of Governor Oyetola in Osun State.

Earlier in his address, the State Chairman, APC,Prince Gboyega Famoodun appreciated all members for their support for the party.

Highlight of the well attended event at the state party secretariat situated on Osogbo-Ibadan road ,Osogbo in the Osun state capital was the formal inauguration of the committee members performed by the state APC chairman,Prince Gboyega Famodun.

Use farm tools, processing equipments given you to progress your farming businesses, Osun Agric Commissioner urges women in Agriculture

 Tobiloba-Taiwo Awofadeju  Osun State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Tola Faseru, has enjoined the women farmers in the State, especially in Atakumosa East Local Government Area to ensure that the farming processing equipment, tools and livestock distributed to them are used solely for the purpose of growing their agricultural businesses. Osun LGSC career head directs HLAs to make imprest a first line charge

By Jide Akano Heads of Local Government Administration (HLAs) in Osun State have been directed to make the issue of monthly imprest their first line charge while dispensing their monthly allocation. This directive was given by the Permanent Secretary in the Local Government Service Commission, Barr. Adeoye Popoola at a crucial management meeting with the HLAs in Abere. Barr. Popoola who averred that it would be in the best interest of local government councils to pay monthly imprest regularly, in order to enhance work productivity  as well as boosting the morale of workers.
