Osun State Government workers have been admonished to avoid joining malicious forces, whose stock in political trade, is to malign the good administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
The Coordinating Director,Osun Local Government Service Commission,Barr.Lekan Babalola gave the admonition while addressing the staff of the Agency at the Multipurpose Hall of the Commission in Abere.
The LGSC Accounting Officer ,Barr.Lekan Babalola, advanced that such action would be antithetical to civil service rules and regulations, advising them that as public servants they are supposed to be loyal and committed to the success of the government of the day, particularly a worker-friendly administration like that of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
While chronicling the achievements of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, within the last four years, Barr.Lekan Babalola enthused that Osun is probably the only State in the federation to have fully implemented the payment of National Minimum Wage, in addition to 65 years retirement age and 40 years length of service for teachers.
The LGSC Scribe also appreciated the Governor for approving a change in the nomenclature of Council Managers to Heads of Local Government Administration and for restoring the directorate cadre in the council areas.
Barr.Lekan Babalola noted:"In spite of the financial constraints being encountered by the State, the Governor did not renege in his resolve to approve regularization of appointments, advancements, conversions, including the cash backing of all outstanding promotions for workers to date."
He also appreciated the State helmsman for maintaining regular payment of salaries and allowances as well as pension, since his assumption of office, without compromising various developmental projects.
Barr. Babalola then admonished the state workforce to reciprocate Governor Oyetola's kind gestures by using their votes and influences to return him to office on July 16 so that he can continue his good works.
Highlights of the meeting, at which the entire management team of the Commission was present, was the observance of a minute silence for the repose of the soul of Mr.Segun Solomon,a staff of the Commission who passed on recently as well as interreligious prayers for a successful and hitch-free governorship election on July 16.
