2023: I will unify Nigeria if elected as President, says Atiku

The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has assured Nigerians of his readiness to unify and stabilize Nigeria if elected as the nation President in the coming 2023 general election.

Atiku declared this in Ile-Ife, Ilesha and Osogbo during his visit to the palaces of the three Monachs to seek royal blessings from them.

The former Vice-president said the unity of the  Country is sacrosanct, adding that the present administration has bastardized everything in Nigeria which, according to him,calls for taking proactive steps before it is too late.

Alhaji Abubakar further stressed that if elected, he will restructure Nigeria and do everything humanly possible to redeem the lost glory and honour of the Country.

He also stated that his administration will put a stop to the issue of insecurity, kidnapping, joblessness and eradicate poverty in the land.

The Presidential Candidate assured Nigerians that the economy of the Country which has gone into comatose will be revived under his watch. He therefore appreciated the three Monachs for the warm reception given to him and his entourage.

Speaking in seperate places,Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke who was warmly received by the mamoth crowd at Ile-Ife; Ilesha and Osogbo with the chants of "Imole" meaning light, said he was highly elated for the show of love bestowed on him during the last July 16 election in the State.

He announced that a new dawn has come to the State, while assuring the Monachs of his readiness to run an all inclusive government.

He therefore craved for  support from the Monachs and the people of Osun State for the PDP and its presidential candidate, noting that this will help the State to reap full dividends of democracy through the Presidential Candidate if eventually elected.

Responding in their separate palaces, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi; Owa of Ijesha Land, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran and the Ataoja of Osogbo land, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun prayed for the Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa to emerge successful in their presidential endeavors.

They explained that traditional rulers are fathers of all irrespective of their political affiliations or religions.

They enjoined the Presidential Candidate not to forget the masses in all his dealings, while urging politicians to see themselves as the Servants of the people.

The traditional ruler of Osogbo land, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun used the opportunity to request  the aspirants to assist the town in rescucitating the Osogbo Steel Rolling Company, completing  Federal Government Secretariat in Osogbo and machine tools, saying, this will assist in creating employments for the Youths and boost the economy of the State.

Notable dignitaries present at the visitation included: Osun State Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi; Party National Chairman, Senator Iyiocha Ayu; the former Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki;  Sanator Dino Melaye; former Osun Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola; former Governors as well as PDP Chieftains, among others.
