Osun Governor, Adeleke pledges to deliver on his campaign promises

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has again reassured residents of the state that he will fulfill all his campaign promises and give the people hope of good governance.

Governor Adeleke stated this at the maiden edition of year 2023 Inter-religious service to mark the first working day in the new year.

At the event which held at the State Government Secretariat, Osogbo, the State Capital, the Governor noted that he is ready to serve the state and turn its fortunes  around within his first one hundred days in office, stressing that he has mapped out several areas where works have commenced which according to him will be delivered in no distant time.

He sought the cooperation and support of all and sundry to jointly move the state forward, saying there is time for everything.

The Ede born Politician further charged the state civil servants to ensure that the State Secretariat Complex is always kept clean, advancing that he will make it a point of duty to pay a surprise visit to offices warning that officers in any office that is found dirty will be duly sanctioned.

He stressed further that he will make sure the towns and cities in Osun are kept clean and adequately lightened to eradicate darkness in the state. He also advised Osun people to always pray for him to be able to serve them in the fear of God.

In his introductory remarks, the State Head of Service, Mr Ayanleye Aina appreciated the State Governor and his entourage for gracing the epoch making event. He used the occasion to charge workers in the state to be more diligent and work assiduously to improve the Internally Generated Revenue of the state.

He noted that civil servants are the engine room of the service saying that the service is full of knowledgeable and capable hands to lead her to an enviable height.

In their separate sermons, the duo of the Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Oyo State, Imam Taofeek Abdulhammed and OSun CAN 1st Vice Chairman,, Rev. Fr. Michael Akinsode, urged Governor Adeleke not to be carried away by the praises of the people who would not want to tell him the truth or advise him in the right direction but are only concerned about themselves.

They equally charged him not to be distracted by what the people may be saying but should rather focus on delivering dividend of democracy to residents of the state, stressing that the Governor and his cabinet members should rely on God's wisdom to lead them aright.

Highlight of the Programme was the intercessory prayer for the Governor,  Government, the entire State and workers as well as entertainment by the Osun Cultural Troupe.

Present at the occasion were the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi; Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye; PDP big wings, workers across all levels; religious leaders; Traditional Rulers together with market men and women among others.
