Deputy Majority Leader, Osun Assembly commends INEC for peaceful poll

The Deputy Majority leader of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Kunle Akande has lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for the peaceful conduct of the 2023 General Elections. He gave this remark shortly after exercising his voting right at Ward 2, Unit 2, Oyin-Adejobi compound  Osogbo. The Majority Leader who also commended the electoral umpire's sensitisation ahead of the election, observed that it culminated into massive turnout of the electorate, expressing optimism that his party would emerge victorious in the polls. He observed that the INEC Officials arrived the venue early, just as the the aged and the physically challenged were treated specially to vote.   Sunday Okunade    Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has called on people of Osun state to mobilize and troop out peacefully to elect leaders of their choice at Saturday's general elections. This is contained in a pre-election statement personally signed by Governor Adeleke and made available to the newsmen through his Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, he described the Saturday election as "a critical milestone in national democratic development of Nigeria in which all eligible citizens must actively participate to decide the future of the nation. We have discovered 580 motors, other valuable items carted by previous administration Officials- Osun Asset recovery Committee

  Sunday Okunade The Asset Recovery and Inventory Committee, set up by Osun  State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has disclosed that the Committee, upon investigation, has discovered not less than 580 motor vehicles, State owned landed property, Osun Helicopter and other valuables taken away by the previous administration officials. The Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Bashir Tokunbo Salami, who spoke on behalf of other members, stated this while giving the report of their stewardship to the Governor in his office, State Secretariat, Abere. He noted that the Committee has interfaced with 51 Ministries, Departments and Agencies and the 30 local Government Areas, including the Area Office where the Permanent Secretaries, Heads of Local Governments Administration were able to give them the needed details about the whereabouts of the property which some political Office holders in the last administration have converted to  personal property. General Election: Governor Adeleke urges Osun residents to eschew violence

  Sunday Okunade As the 2023 general elections is fast approaching, Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has enjoined residents of Osun to eschew violence during the forthcoming general elections in the Nigeria. Governor Adeleke gave the advice today in his Office, Government Secretariat Complex, Abere, while fielding questions from the newsmen shortly after a closed door meeting held with the Security Chiefs in Osun which included Police, Army, Road Safety Corps, Prison Service, NDLEA, among others. Osun Governor inspects on-going Osogbo/Ikirun/ Ila-Odo road under rehabilitation

 ...  charges users to take caution when completed   Sunday Okunade Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has embarked on inspection of Osogbo/ Ikirun road, which is under rehabilitation,to see the level of work done and the quality of the project.  Ikirun, the Headquarters of Ifelodun Local Government was agog as people trooped out in thousands, singing to welcome Governor Adeleke, and showering encomiums on him for remembering the age-long abandoned Osogbo/Ikirun/ Ila-Odo road. Speaking with newsmen shortly after the inspection, Senator Adeleke said he was happy with the project, adding that it was part of his campaign promises to rehabilitate all roads abandoned by the previous administrations in the State.
