Secretary to the State  Government of Osun,  Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye has called on Muslims to exploit the Holy Month of Ramadan to intensify concentrated  prayers to the Almighty Allah.

While wishing all Muslims a successful Ibaadat (religious obligation), Alhaji Igbalaye, in a Ramadan message,  urged them to use the period to rededicate their prayers to Almighty Allah in order to make life easier for all.

Osun Scribe also admonished Muslims to imbibe the teachings of the Holy month through being conscious of Allah, and giving  gifts to the needy and the less privileged.

He further urged the people to use the Ramadan period to repent from all sins and other social vices by following the teachings of the noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Igbalaye also requested the Muslims to intercede for  total end to terrorism, armed banditry, kidnapping, cattle rustling and other crimes bedeviling some parts of Nigeria and the nation in general so that the government can continue to dispense dividends of democracy to the people.

He appealed to traders and people engaged in selling essential commodities to cut down prices throughout the blessed month and beyond so as to benefit from Allah’s rewards.

He assured Osun people that the administration of Senator Ademola Adeleke will continue to uphold all the Islamic norms and values, according to the teachings of Islam, to govern the State.

The SSG then prayed for the successful completion of the Ramadan fast with ease and blessings.

The State Scribe further enjoined the entire residents of Osun to continue to be one another’s brother’s keeper and to forgive one another’s missteps in exchange for Allaah’s forgiveness and mercies, praying that, "The Almighty Allaah will grant all of us the full blessings of the holy month and give us the grace to witness many more of it in the best state of faith in God, and in good health,”
