Osun Govt lauds NIMASA for its love and care for the vulnerables



      ....calls for greater assistance

The Osun State Government under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke has lauded the kind gesture of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA)  towards the vulnerable indigenes of Osun state.
    
The commendation from Governor Adeleke administration came against the backdrop of yet another humanitarian gestures valued at several millions of naira  via  the provision of relief materials and medical equipment to the people of Osun.
      
The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye gave the commendation on behalf the Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke at the Flag off ceremony for the distribution of the  medical equipment and relief materials provided by NIMASA.

The distribution of the materials to the victims  held at Osun State Emergency Management Agency (OSEMA) warehouse, Osogbo.
    
The Chief of Staff who was represented by his personal Assistant, Dr Sodiq Taoheed further stressed that the assistance from the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) was  in deed a unique one against the realization that it  will go a long way in cushioning the hardship of the people especially the vulnerable ones.
 
The C.O.S through Dr Sodiq also emphasized the gratitude of the governor and  the people of Osun State in general  to  NIMASA especially at this crucial moment of economic hardship in Nigeria.

The Director General of NIMASA, Dr. Bashir Yusuf Jamoh (OFN) who was represented by the Deputy Director, Internal Audit of the organization, Mrs. Biodun Falade hinted that NIMASA has been doing a great job for sometimes now to cushion the effects  of global economy on people especially  the less privileged who are facing one unfavorable circumstance or the other.

NIMASA described  its gesture in this regard as part of it's mandate and corporate social responsibility to all Nigerians especially those who are in need.
 
Mrs Biodun further stressed that NIMASA has been effective in all the 36 States of Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory (Abuja) every year according to the need of each state.
    
She therefore urged the beneficiaries to use the distributed relief materials judiciously.
    
Earlier In his welcome address, the General Manager, Osun State Emergency Management Agency, Mr Amos Adejinle also appreciated the relentless efforts of  NIMASA in no small measure particularly for always accosting Osun State with a special attention when the need for such gestures arise from time to time.
    
The visibly impressed and elated Adejinle described NIMASAs gesture as heart-warming  and exemplary for donating various relief materials  and medical equipment for the benefit of Osun State people.

The G.M OSEMA therefore  implored all  the beneficiaries especially  of the distributed medical equipment to judiciously use them for the benefit of the people.

He then  appreciated the Governor of the State, Senator Ademola Adeleke for his proactiveness in ensuring  the well being of Osun residents since he came on board in less than half a year.

 In his words of appreciation, one of the beneficiaries, Mr Oladipo Lawrence appreciated the NIMASA team  and  Osun State Government for their team spirit in cushioning the effects of hardship on people from time to time.

Use farm tools, processing equipments given you to progress your farming businesses, Osun Agric Commissioner urges women in Agriculture

Tola Faseru, has enjoined the women farmers in the State, especially in Atakumosa East Local Government Area to ensure that the farming processing equipment, tools and livestock distributed to them are used solely for the purpose of growing their agricultural businesses. Osun LGSC career head directs HLAs to make imprest a first line charge

By Jide Akano Heads of Local Government Administration (HLAs) in Osun State have been directed to make the issue of monthly imprest their first line charge while dispensing their monthly allocation. This directive was given by the Permanent Secretary in the Local Government Service Commission, Barr. Adeoye Popoola at a crucial management meeting with the HLAs in Abere. Barr.
