The newly appointed Permanent Secretary retained in the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Olufemi Ogundun, has expressed appreciation to Governor Ademola Adeleke  for his elevation to the prestigious post in the service of the State.

Ogundun expressed the appreciation in his office while speaking with members of staff  who came to rejoice with him on his new appointment.

The Ministry boss, who described his new appointment as a surprise and gift from God,pledged to use his new position to work for the growth and development of the State 

According to him, "I must sincerely thank God and Governor Ademola Adeleke for this elevation and I consider this as a higher call to service.

"I see this as a challenge to do more for my state, I am also using this medium to charge all members of staff of the Ministry to unite and be more dedicated to work; this is a new era and things should work better", he stated.

Ogundun,  then reiterated his appreciation to the Governor for the lifting, and pledged his support and total loyalty to the present administration.

Use farm tools, processing equipments given you to progress your farming businesses, Osun Agric Commissioner urges women in Agriculture

 Tobiloba-Taiwo Awofadeju  Osun State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Tola Faseru, has enjoined the women farmers in the State, especially in Atakumosa East Local Government Area to ensure that the farming processing equipment, tools and livestock distributed to them are used solely for the purpose of growing their agricultural businesses. The Commissioner gave the charge while flagging off the distribution of farm tools, livestock such as Goats, Broilers and processing equipments, worth millions of naira, to women farmers, which was a project supported by the World Bank  in collaboration with Osun State Government at a programme held in Ilesha. Osun LGSC career head directs HLAs to make imprest a first line charge

By Jide Akano Heads of Local Government Administration (HLAs) in Osun State have been directed to make the issue of monthly imprest their first line charge while dispensing their monthly allocation. This directive was given by the Permanent Secretary in the Local Government Service Commission, Barr. Adeoye Popoola at a crucial management meeting with the HLAs in Abere. Barr. Popoola who averred that it would be in the best interest of local government councils to pay monthly imprest regularly, in order to enhance work productivity  as well as boosting the morale of workers.
