PHCDB, TCI inaugurate SBCC technical working group in Osun

The Director Medical Services & Disease Control, Osun State Primary Health Care Board, Dr Adewale Aderibigbe has inaugurated  the newly created Technical Working Group that will steer the ship of the Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC)  in the State.
 
The inauguration took place  at  the Ideal Nest  Hotel, Osogbo at the end of a 3- day workshop organized for relevant Stakeholders in the State.

 The newly inaugurated executive members are: Mrs. Modupe Williams who serves as the Chairperson, while the Vice Chairman is Mr Gideon Adegboye.

Others are: Treasurer, Mr Akande  Sina; The PRO, Mrs Akinlabi Roseline, while the Secretary is Mrs Adeniji Taiwo.

Dr  Aderibigbe admonished the SBCC Technical Working Group to put in their best in  discharging their various duties.

Speaking earlier, the Osun State Program Manager for The Change Initiative ( TCI), Dr. Adebusola Oyeyemi stated  that the main objective of the workshop is to ensure that all relevant demand generation actors in reproductive health interventions develop State SBBC Strategy.

 This document will serve as a guide  for effective implementation of demand generation interventions across various reproductive health programs in the State.

She said this prompted the need for relevant stakeholders and actors to be put together to review existing demand generation approaches in the State towards the development of the Strategic document.

 Dr Adebusola also urged the newly appointed executive members of SBCC Technical Working Group to collaborate with the partners and the State Government to *ensure that demand generation activities are well coordinated and delivered as  expected.

    Highlights of the programme was inauguration of the SBCC TWG executive members.
