Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government involved in the execution of developmental projects in the State have been urged to work in unity for a common success.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Transport, Engr. Basiru Bello made the call at a stakholders meeting as part of processes for the commencement of the dualisation of Akoda-Cottage Junction-Oke Gada-Ido Osun-Ofatedo road and Old Garage- Oke Fia - LAMECO Junction
MDAs who are stakholders as regards the proposed project include: Office of the Surveyor General, Ministries of Lands, Environmental, Finance, Justice, Works and Transport, Budget and Economic Planning, Public Procurement Agency as well as Capital Territory Development Authority.
Engr. Bello urged the stakeholders to seat down and harmonise strategies so that MDAs will not work in opposite direction and thereby jeopardize the succes of the project by the time it starts.
He said there is the need for everyone involved to be on same page and have it in mind that they are rendering a service in the interest of the State.
According to him, "We cant afford to embarrasse ourselves as technocrats, if we do this we will be embarrassing the State Government and in the end fail in the task of helping our Governor to develop this State.
"What am I saying? The Governor has so much plans in the quest to develop our State, It is you and I that will execute those plans for residents of this State to enjoy.
"A major project is about to start, this meeting is all part of the processes leading to the commencement of that laudable project. We need to harmonise our strategies as MDAs, we are not in a competition but working for the common good of our dear State". Engr. Bello stressed.
