In a bid to ensure steady water supply for rural communities, the administration of Senator Ademola Adeleke has commenced the distribution of power generating sets across political wards in the State.

The power generating sets are to be used to power the 332 boreholes recently constructed in all the political wards in the State to mark the 100 days in office of the present administration.

Speaking during the official distribution held at the government secretariat, Director of Water Sanitation and Environment, Mr. Olaoye Abayomi, described the gesture as unprecedented in the history of the State.
According to him, "By World Organisation Standard, a borehole is to serve three thousand five hundred (3500) people which means Mr. Governor has provided water for about two million people in the State".

He thanked His Excellency for being passionate and concerned to see that water is available in all nooks and crannies of the State.
