Adeleke 'll make annual Osun Osogbo festival more attractive to tourists- Osun Culture Commissioner

Osun State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Abiodun Ojo has emphasised the importance of culture as one of the veritable avenues of earning a huge revenue for the government at the local and national levels. To this end, Ojo has expressed delight over the tremendous developments being currently witnessed at the Osun Osogbo grove since the administration of Senator Ademola Adeleke came on board in less than a year.
      
The Commissioner Stated these in Osogbo at one of the series of activities lined up to kickstart  the annual Osun Osogbo festival known as  "The  lighting of the 16 point lamps (Atupa Oloju merindinlogun).
      
While describing the event  as one of the rites of the yearly Osun Osogbo festival which held at Oja Oba market square, Osogbo, the State Capital, Ojo noted that the administration of Senator Ademola Adeleke is so much interested in cultural development of the state in such a manner that no stone will be left unturned in using it to boost the economy of the state.
       
According to the Culture and Tourism Commissioner "unlike some years past, Osun Osogbo grove has been developed and more development is still coming under Governor Ademola Adeleke's administration, because, he is a lover of Culture.
   
" Governor Adeleke is a man of his words who always keep his promises, and I want to encourage the general public to fact check what is going on at the grove, there are a lots of developmental activities going on, I can  categorically tell you that the site is almost abandoned before the emergence of Governor Adeleke. 
    
"I want to assure you that the road leading to the Osun Osogbo grove and the suspended bridge right inside the grove are still going to be given a face lift  in due course". Posited Abiodun Ojo.
      
 While encouraging Osun residents to cooperate with the present administration to reap more  dividends of democracy, Ojo appreciated and congratulated Ataoja of Osogbo land, oba Jimoh Olanipekun, the Osun Osogbo devotees and the  residents of the State at large for witnessing the commencement of this years  Osun Osogbo festival.

Use farm tools, processing equipments given you to progress your farming businesses, Osun Agric Commissioner urges women in Agriculture

 Tobiloba-Taiwo Awofadeju  Osun State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Tola Faseru, has enjoined the women farmers in the State, especially in Atakumosa East Local Government Area to ensure that the farming processing equipment, tools and livestock distributed to them are used solely for the purpose of growing their agricultural businesses. The Commissioner gave the charge while flagging off the distribution of farm tools, livestock such as Goats, Broilers and processing equipments, worth millions of naira, to women farmers, which was a project supported by the World Bank  in collaboration with Osun State Government at a programme held in Ilesha. Osun LGSC career head directs HLAs to make imprest a first line charge

By Jide Akano Heads of Local Government Administration (HLAs) in Osun State have been directed to make the issue of monthly imprest their first line charge while dispensing their monthly allocation. This directive was given by the Permanent Secretary in the Local Government Service Commission, Barr. Adeoye Popoola at a crucial management meeting with the HLAs in Abere. Barr. Popoola who averred that it would be in the best interest of local government councils to pay monthly imprest regularly, in order to enhance work productivity  as well as boosting the morale of workers.
