Osun Osogbo 2023 festival: Security guru, Olojongbodu felicitates Ataoja, residents, promises adequate security



The National Deputy President, Oodua People's Congress, OPC, Dr Frederick Faseun's led group, Alhaji Adeleke Akintayo Olojongbodu, has felicitated with the Ataoja of Osogboland, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun Larooye II and the entire Osogbo community on the occasion of the ongoing 2023 Osun Osogbo Festival.

In a statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday from his Media and Publicity Department, Olojongbodu, said the annual festival of culture and tradition presents an opportunity for Osogbo to celebrate its rich cultural heritage which attracts attendance from all over the world.

Olojongbondu, congratulated the Ataoja, his chiefs, the Ataoja-in-Council, Osun worshippers and the residents of the town urging all to be peaceful and remain law abiding.

The OPC Deputy President, charged the celebrators, worshippers and residents to celebrate the festival with modesty while warning the cultists not to foment trouble during and after the annual festival.

Olojongbodu said, Osun Osogbo is always a spiritual and peaceful festival, saying it's against the purpose of the festival to be fighting each other adding that hoodlums should not use the avenue of the festival to battle ground.

According to him, "Our group (OPC) has been working hand in hand with the Osun State Police Command in tackling criminal activities in the state and we shall not relent.

" We shall not allow any criminal to use the festival as opportunity to commit any crime in the state. We Shall also continue to collaborate with Governor Ademola Adeleke's led administration of the state as well as other security agents in the state to avert any breakdown of law before, during and after the main festival on Friday.

"I also want to commend the effort of the current Commissioner of Police in the State, CP Kehinde Alonge, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Yemisi Opalola and entire members of Tactical Squad for their perfect job in the state towards safety of life and property".

Use farm tools, processing equipments given you to progress your farming businesses, Osun Agric Commissioner urges women in Agriculture

Osun LGSC career head directs HLAs to make imprest a first line charge

By Jide Akano Heads of Local Government Administration (HLAs) in Osun State have been directed to make the issue of monthly imprest their first line charge while dispensing their monthly allocation. This directive was given by the Permanent Secretary in the Local Government Service Commission, Barr. Adeoye Popoola at a crucial management meeting with the HLAs in Abere. Barr.
