Regular payment of taxes, levies: Panacea to development- Transportation Commissioner, Oyedele

Osun State Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. Sesan Oyedele has stated that the development of the State will be greatly determined by the support of residents to the present administration through regular payment of their taxes and levies.

The Commissioner stated this during a meeting with the executives of the Union of Tippers and Quarry in their State Secretariat where he counseled them not to shy away from their civic responsibility, explaining that the best economies in the world are only thriving on regular payment of taxies and levies.



He explained that the administration of Senator Ademola Adeleke has so much in the kitty for residents of the State but would need the support and cooperation of all and sundry. 

The Commissioner said Governor Adeleke is determined to make their job easy for them, noting that the Chief Executive of the State is determined to fix more roads across the State.

Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Hon. Yakubu Adejare pointed out that the essence of the meeting is for government to be familiar with the Association in the State.

He hinted that government has a lot of plans for them to make their job run more smoothly for the benefit of all, explaining that it can only be made possible through the new Ministry of Transportation.

Chairman of the Union of Tippers and Quarry Employers of Nigeria, Alhaji Lawal Tijani thanked the State Government for coming up with the idea of the meeting, stressing that it will no doubt make things work better.

The Permanent in the Ministry, Mr Oladapo Fasina, in his address of welcome, urged the tipper owners in the State to ensure strict compliance with all the rules and regulations guiding their job.

Use farm tools, processing equipments given you to progress your farming businesses, Osun Agric Commissioner urges women in Agriculture

 Tobiloba-Taiwo Awofadeju  Osun State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Tola Faseru, has enjoined the women farmers in the State, especially in Atakumosa East Local Government Area to ensure that the farming processing equipment, tools and livestock distributed to them are used solely for the purpose of growing their agricultural businesses. Osun LGSC career head directs HLAs to make imprest a first line charge

By Jide Akano Heads of Local Government Administration (HLAs) in Osun State have been directed to make the issue of monthly imprest their first line charge while dispensing their monthly allocation. This directive was given by the Permanent Secretary in the Local Government Service Commission, Barr. Adeoye Popoola at a crucial management meeting with the HLAs in Abere. Barr. Popoola who averred that it would be in the best interest of local government councils to pay monthly imprest regularly, in order to enhance work productivity  as well as boosting the morale of workers.
