Osun Govt. commends Hacey Health Initiative for assistance to Primary Health facilities in the State

Osun Commissioner for Health, Barr Jola Akintola has eulogised the HACEY Health Initiative for the official donation of health commodities and presentation of Impact Health Data Management Dashboard to the primary health care facilities in the State.
The Commissioner gave the commendation at the presentation of Health Dashboard and donation of commodities to the State Ministry of Health at the event that took place in the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Health. The Commissioner, who was represented by the Director of Public Health, Dr Bello Akeem, appreciated the Health Initiative, especially in the Primary Health Care Sector.
While acknowledging that this was not the first time that the organization would be extending such helping hand to the State Government, Dr Akeem recalled that HACEY Health Initiative had earlier installed solar power system at Akoda PHC and organized capacity building trainings for health workers, among other interventions. He then assured the organization that the drugs and dashboard will be used judiciously for it's purpose, especially the pregnant women at the grassroots.
In her welcome address, the Executive Director HACEY Health Initiative , Mrs Rhoda Robinson had explained that the health project is supported by partners like Intellectual Property and Research Development (IPRD), in order to reduce maternal mortality, improve the quality of maternal health services, and also improve health data collection and management system.
Mrs Robinson further enunciated that part of their activities so far is development and deployment of data- enable mobile phone and software module on the impact health platform which, according to her, "is used to facilitate malaria Rapid Diagnosis Test (RDT), as well as intermittent preventive treatment of malaria during pregnancy, using sulfadoxine pyrimethamine (IPTp-SP) for pregnant women in health facilities."
In their goodwill messages, Osun State Reproductive Health Coordinator,Mrs Toyin Adelowokan ,who was represented by Mrs Abiala Ruth and the Director of Planning, Dr Olakunle Famakinwa, who was also represented by Dr Olasunkanmi Oyetunde, appreciated the HACEY Health Initiative for their kind gesture and prayed that God will continue to bless and reward the organization accordingly.
