Use farm tools, processing equipments given you to progress your farming businesses, Osun Agric Commissioner urges women in Agriculture

Osun State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Tola Faseru, has enjoined the women farmers in the State, especially in Atakumosa East Local Government Area to ensure that the farming processing equipment, tools and livestock distributed to them are used solely for the purpose of growing their agricultural businesses.
The Commissioner gave the charge while flagging off the distribution of farm tools, livestock such as Goats, Broilers and processing equipments, worth millions of naira, to women farmers, which was a project supported by the World Bank in collaboration with Osun State Government at a programme held in Ilesha.
Hon. Faseru appreciated the administration of Senator Ademola Adeleke and the World Bank for the good gesture, saying the Project will go a long way in boosting the overall economy of Nigeria.
The Commissioner disclosed that out of the 30 Local Governments and 1 Area office in Osun, only 3 namely: Oke-Ila, Ola-Oluwa and Atakumosa East were targeted, with Atakunmosa East Local Government being the first to benefit from it. He then advised the benefiting local government areas to use the opportunity maximally so that it can be extended to others.
In their separate remarks, Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture and OSSADEC, Hon. Olaniran Akanfe Atidade and the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs Adegbemisola Fayoyin appreciated the State Government for her act of generiousity towards women farmers, charging them to use the materials for the intended purpose.
In her words of appreciation, one of the beneficiaries, who spoke on behalf of others, Mrs Ademola Grace thanked Osun Government, under the leadership of Senator Ademola Adeleke, and prayed God to sustain him to continue his good works.
Highlights of the program was the presentation of the tools and livestock to the women farmers and educating them on how to handle them.
