Osun LG Employees Pledges total Support for Governor Oyetola.
The Forum of Council Managers (FCM) under the umbrella of National Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, State of Osun Chapter today pledged their unalloyed support for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola led administration, saying as workers in the employ of the state government of Osun, they have never had it so good.
Adorning branded and fitted P- Caps and T-Shirts with the inscription of the name of Governor Oyetola, the male and female of local government workers throughout the state made the Conference hall of the Local of Government Service Commission situated in the State Secretariat, Osogbo a place to be for several hours to drum their allegiance and support for Governor Oyetola.
In his remarks at the occasion, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola was full of thanks and appreciation of the gesture this time around from the local government workers .
The number one citizen in the State reaffirmed his resolve and that of his administration to make the welfare of Workers paramount at all times in spite of the current financial predicament the entire country is afflicted with.
Notwithstanding this, Mr Oyetola told the local government workers how he has in the last three years made prompt payment of salaries, wages and other benefits to the workers throughout the state a top priority.
He used the occasion as usual to calmly and subtly appeal to the conscience and understanding of the workers with a declaration that their support and cooperation will continue to endear him to serve as a catalyst to do more for them.
As partners in progress in Osun project, the governor expressed conviction that the state will continue to witness more growth and development under his tutelage as its Chief Executive .
He concluded his remarks at the colourful gathering with a pledge to accede to all the catalogue of requests the local government employees put before him.
Earlier in his opening remarks accentuated with solidarity songs, the State Head of Service, Dr. Olowogboyega Oyebade enumerated the many laudable things, welfare wise, which the Oyetola led administration have done and still doing to better the lot of workers.
Among other salient things which the governor have done, Dr Olowogboyega was particularly emphatic about the regular payment of salaries, the implementation of minimum wage, promotion of workers and annual increment which has made Oyetola to be rated by workers as the best thing to have ever happened to them in the civil service .
Regarding what was hitherto a crisis that nearly enveloped NULGE, the Osun State chapter, Dr. Oyebade Olowogboyega publicly acknowledged the quick intervention of Governor Oyetola which he noted eventually returned peace to the state Secretariat of NULGE. He expressed happiness that the union is now strongly United in spirit and service .
In his own remarks, the Chairman, Forum of Council Managers in Osun State, Comrade Wale Adedapo lauded Governor Oyetola for his numerous achievements like the renovation of 332 primary health care centres across the State, construction of intra and Intercity roads and in particular for making the welfare of workers one of the top priorities of his worker friendly administration.
Comrade Adedapo at the event marking the open endorsement of the governor for his continuity in office beyond 2022 by local government workers, appealed to him to restore the glory and sanity of service back with the hitherto designation and normenclature of Heads of Local Government Administration and Directors as applicable in the State scheme of Service.
In his address, the President, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Osun State chapter, Comrade Nathaniel Agunbiade congratulated Governor Oyetola for the many successes recorded in the last three years of his administration.
He prayed God to grant him more wisdom and knowledge to pilot the affairs of the State to a remarkable destination.
Highlight of the event was the open declaration of support for governor Oyetolas continuity in office beyond 2022.
