We are exploring Agriculture/Commerce to boost Osun Economy-- Oyebamiji.
Osun Commissioner For Finance, Mr Bola Oyebamiji has for the umpteenth times reiterated the commitment of the Adegboyega Oyetola administration in repositioning the economy of the state especially through Agriculture and Commerce for the benefit of all.
The Commissioner said the present administration is looking for all possibilities in the fields of Commerce, Agriculture and other sectors so as to boost the state's economy which in turn will provide jobs for the unemployed youths.
The Finance commissioner stated these while fielding questions from newsmen in his office.
The Information Officer for the Ministry, Kingsley Omoyeni reported to the latterglorynews that the Commissioner said it is the commitment of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led Government at both state and federal levels to empower small and medium scale buisness owners thereby getting the economy of the state adequately stimulated .
The Commissioner while imploring residents of the state to ensure prompt payment of their taxes and other levies as and when due explained that it is the only way to support and assist government so as to be able to provide the basic needs of the people.
In his words, "It is a known fact all over the world that no government or economy can survive without the diversification of it's sources of income. The Oyetola administration is always looking for ways of boosting the economy of the state by maximally utilizing various sources at its disposal.
"Commerce and Agriculture are two areas this administration is focusing on to boost its economy and better the lot of its people, while also ensuring that we permanently take them off the poverty line.
"The present administration will continue to invest in commerce as well improve the Agric sector to increase wealth and food supply. We believe in our small and medium scale buisness, their contribution to the growth of any economy at their micro level can never be overemphasized especially in the manner in which they carry out their daily buisness transactions". The commissioner noted.
