Osun public procurement process goes digital

....as Finance Commissioner says Oyetola will continue to run a transparent government In another effort to further ensure transparency and accountability in the State's Public Financial Management Systems, the State of Osun Public Procurement Agency has been fully digitalized and launched online in line with global best practices. Commissioner for Finance, Mr Bola Oyebamiji gave the hint on Wednesday while speaking at the State Secretariat during the signing of the 2022 appropriation bill by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola. He said the digitisation of the State’s procurement agency which was made possible by the transparent style of governance of the present administration will among other things aid the State's ease of doing business. NUJ to Induct Osun finance Commissioner, Oyebamiji, others into Hall of Fame.

The Nigerian Union of Journalists( NUJ), Osun State Council has listed Osun Commissioner for Finance, Bola Oyebamiji alongside other eminent personalities to be inducted into it's hall of fame in Osogbo tommorow. Other personalities to be inducted alongside Oyebamiji are: Chairman of APC in Osun, Prince Adegboyega Famodun, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Sammya Nigeria LTD, Engineer Adigun Sammy Oreoluwa and the Pioneer Chairman of NUJ in Osun State, late Comrade Lekan Awoyemi. The programme which will have His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni Of ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi as the Royal father of the day will hold at the NUJ Press Center along Dada Estate road by 10 O'clock in the morning. Car Refurbishing Loan: Osun Public Servants Hail Oyetola for Resuscitation.

Public Servants in Osun State have hailed Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for resuscitating the car refurbishing loan scheme for the benefit of workers in the state after many years of abandonment. A cross section of the workers who spoke with journalists at the state government secretariat described the step by the Governor as another show of his magnanimity which he has always shown to the workers in the state Civic Service. They added that the move by the Governor has again demonstrated that the state helmsman is worker friendly and is ready to always attend to the welfare of workers even before they agitate for such. The workers who wouldn't want their names in print for official reasons said the car refurbishing loan is a fund that has over the years assisted public servants to achieve things their monthly salaries can not afford at a time. Osun Govt. spells out measures to avert fire disasters during this harmattan period.

The State Government of Osun has noted with concern the growing rate of fire disasters in some States of the Federation in recent times which led to the  loss of lives and properties. To avert such ugly occurrences in Osun, measures are being  put in place for  the residents to be safety conscious.   The General Manager, Osun State  Emergency Management Agency,(OSEMA), Amos Adejinle made this known while speaking with journalists on measures so far put in place by Adegboyega Oyetola led administration to avert fire disasters during this dry season.       The OSEMA boss in Osun  who sympatised with all the victims of fire disasters in Nigeria  in recent times told journalists drawn from print and electronic media that the case of Osun has been quite minimally exceptional, a development which he attributed to the warnings being reeled out from time to time to the residents on ...

Osun Govt. Restates Commitment to Promotion of Yoruba Language.

Osun State Government under the able leadership of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has restated its resolve to adequately promote Yoruba Culture, especially Yoruba Language so as to save if from total collapse across the globe. Governor Oyetola stated this in Osogbo the State Capital while playing  host to the representatives of Yorubas who reside in Porto-Novo, Republic of Benin who paid him a courtesy visit. The Governor who spoke through the State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Obawale Adebisi expressed his sadness that the speaking of Yoruba language is gradually becoming old fashion in the State which according to him is a place that is widely regarded as the source of the Yoruba race.  He then noted that if proper care is not taken, the foreigners will be the ones to teach Yoruba language in our schools.
