Workers Welfare: Osun Govt. releases 1st Batch of vehicle refurbishing loan beneficiaries

The State Government of Osun has announced the release of the first batch of beneficiaries of the Vehicle Refurbishing Loan approved by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola to various categories of Public Servants.
According to a statement jointly signed by the Vehicle Refurbishing Loan Committee after its meeting at the State Secretariat, successful applicants are to check their names at various locations within the State Secretariat where the names are posted.
It added that the State Government of Osun identifies Public Servants as the instruments through which government policies and programmes are effectively implemented and delivered, hence the need to get them motivated at all times.
The statement adds that the loan, which is expected to be paid back within a maximum of five years of 60 instalments, is a continuous exercise,stressing
that the first batch is just the beginning of the revolving loan which will accommodate as many eligible applicants as possible.
The Committee through the statement congratulated the first batch beneficiaries as it enjoined the yet to be beneficiary workers to keep their hope strong and alive as the scheme will be a continuous one with the release of the second batch coming soon.
While thanking public servants for allowing the committee to work without undue interference, they urged successful applicants to proceed with immediate effect the purchase of agreement forms through their respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
It will be recalled that Governor Adegboyega Oyetola recently approved the resuscitation of the loan with the rates as follows: grade levels 1-3 to obtain #200,000.00 while officers on grade levels 4-6 will be eligible to a loan of #250,000.00 with those on grade levels 7-8 to earn #350,000.00 loan. Those on grade levels 9-10 will be eligible to a loan of #400,000.00.
For the senior categories, a grade level 12 officer will be entitled to a loan of #500.000.00, those on grade levels 13-15, #600.000.00 while levels 16-17 officers will have the opportunity of obtaining a #750.000.00 loan.
