Ikire land gets new Chief Imam



.....as Balogun Musulumi, Bola Oyebamiji hails peaceful installation


Following the recent demise of the Chief Imam Of Ikire land, the ancient town has gotten another Chief Imam, Sheikh Muslim Oladimeji Oladiran who was on Tuesday turbaned amidst a colourful event.

Ikire Kingdom stood still as Imam Sheikh Muslim Oladimeji Oladiran was installed to the admiration of residents and indigens after he was unanimously chosen by the league of Imams and Alfas in Ikire land.

The occasion attracted top dignitaries from all walks of life which include politicians, religious leaders, technocrats, traditional leaders and the Asiwaju of Ikire land and Ex-Commissioner for Finance, Mr Bola Oyebamiji was also in attendance.

It is evident that the new Chief Imam is indeed the choice of the people, especially Islamic adherents of the ancient as they trooped out in their numbers to witness the epoch making event.

Speaking at the program, the Balogun Musulumi of Irewole/Isokan/Ayedaade Federal constituency, Mr Bola Oyebamiji was full of praise for the league of Imams and Alfas in Ikire for a peaceful selection and turbaning ceremony.

Mr Oyebamiji who is also the Asiwaju of Ikire land expressed confidence that the time of Sheikh Muslim Oladimeji Oladiran will no doubt be a blessed and progressive one for Ikire land and environs, while praying that God give him the wisdom to lead.

He also used occasion to pray for the late Chief Imam, Sheikh Yunus Ajibade Raaji, popularly known as Olohun Osee, praying that God should repose his soul and grant him Aljana Fridaus.
