Osun Chieftaincy Affairs Committee submits report to Governor Adeleke

The Committee on Chieftaincy Affairs today submitted the report of the findings regarding the installation of traditional rulers, in different towns in Osun, after July 16, 2022 governorship election in the State to the Governor.
The Committee, which was inaugurated on the 29th November, 2022, was saddled with the responsibilities of looking into matters arising from the installation of the monarchs with a view to settling the grievances that erupted in some of the major towns due to rejection by the royal families in the towns concerned.
Receiving the report from the Committee, the State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke commended the Committee for painstakingly and diligently delivering the job as expected, advancing that other commitments await them for a job well done.
He promised to look into the report and take appropriate steps to ensure that the State continues to enjoy the prevailing peace pervading the atmosphere.
While presenting the report to the Governor earlier, the Chairman of the Committee, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo pointed out that there were lots of petitions from different quarters which needed to be addressed.
He therefore enjoined Governor Adeleke to critically look into the recommendations and take appropriate steps in other to forestall concomitant disputes.
