The Permanent Secretary, Osun State Ministry of Health, Mr Kayode Adegoke has assured the Society for Family Health, Catholic Relief Health and Federal Ministry of Health of the State Government's readiness to provide adequate security and cooperation for the Smooth Running of heir programmes in the State. 

 This is just as he also guarantees them of necessary State inputs in order to have a successful 2023 Insecticide Treated Net Campaign in Osun.
    
Mr. Adegoke gave the assurance in Osogbo during a meeting held in his office with the health stakeholders.
      
According to him, Osun State is relatively peaceful, being a State of the Living Spring with serene environment. He then assured them of maximum security  and a hitch-free  campaign in the State.
     
He also advised them to carry out the assignment with due diligence by ensuring that every household benefit from the distribution of the insecticide treated nets in order to have total eradication of malaria in Osun state.
      
Speaking earlier at the meeting, the Assistant Campaign Manager for the 2023 Osun State Insecticide Treated Net Campaign, Mr Daugana Christopher stressed that the campaign is meant to distribute the nets for all the indigenes of Osun State in  order to combat malaria headlong in the state.
     
 He also hinted that the Global Fund is the donor of the nets, revealing that they have procured 3.2 million pieces of  nets which are going to be distributed between the months of May and June, 2023 across the State.
   
 He stated further that they are in the state to conduct two weeks micro planning where data will be collected throughout the state for proper planning towards the actual distribution coming up later in the year.
    
Mr Christopher later emphasized that they are in Osun to ascertain names of settlements, numbers of settlements as well as the population of the settlements with the major aim of clustering  them for proper distribution from house to house as soon as the exercise kicks off in the State.
       
He then advised residents of Osun not to sell the nets upon distribution but should rather use them  appropriately so that malaria can be totally eliminated in the State.
      
 Present at the meeting were: Mr GbueDenen Daniel, Mr Musa Zakaw, Mrs  Chubututu Margaret, Mr Chukwu Nelson and Mrs Amaka Ubela among others.
