Governor Adeleke prioritizes Agriculture in his 5-point agenda- Hon. Atidade

Special Adviser to Osun Governor on Agriculture/ OSSADEC/OSSADEP, Hon. Akanfe Atidade, has assured  Osun people that Agriculture and Food Security is encapsulated in the government 5-point agenda in order to make Osun the food basket of the nation.

Hon. Atidade made this known in Osogbo on a television interview programme tagged "Oro Aje" where he lamented  the poor condition of Agriculture inherited from the past administration.

He stressed that the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Mr. Tola Faseru has started working on the areas where there are lapses in farming at local levels, while assuring the  residents of Osun on efforts of the State Government to correct them. 

He reiterated that Agriculture is one of the strong pillars in the 5-point agenda of Governor Adeleke, adding that his team has started going round farm settlements to see where there are issues, so as to strategically find solution to them.

He therefore decried the deplorable condition of the department of OSSADEC where many tractors have been abandoned for years, promising that the repairable ones will not only be repaired, but new ones will also be purchased in order to boost Agriculture. 

The former Parliamentarian then encouraged farmers to keep themselves abreast of vital Information which may be useful for them in the area of farming loans and other benefits from government.

He therefore enjoined  Osun people to support  the government of the day in all spheres so as to enable it deliver on its promises, while  assuring them that the administration of Governor Adeleke will leave no stone unturned in the area of agriculture in Osun by empowering farmers.
