Osun Govt. extends its free donation of T.M.E. 419 Cassava stems to Ijesha land Farmers.

Australian High Commissioner promises Collaboration with Osun on Culture, Tourism Development.

    The  High Commissioner for Australia, His Excellency John Donnelly has promised to ensure  maximum collaboration with Osun State  Government to advance Culture and Tourism in the State. Food Sufficiency in Osun, top priority of Oyetola led Administration, says Adewole, Agric Commissioner.

   The  quest to ensure adequate provision of foods to the citizenry will continue to be in the front burner of Oyetola led administration. Osun 2021 Budget achieves 83.66% Performance as at end of 3rd quarter, says Budget Commissioner.

Osun Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Prof. Olalekan Yinusa has revealed that the state's 2021 budget has achieve an improved 83.66% performance as at the end of the third quarter of the year better than what the 2020 budget achieved as at the same time. The Commissioner made the revelation today during a meeting of the Budget Implementation Committee for the consideration of the 3rd quarter progress of the year 2021 budget of the state. Osun Police Officer displays extreme honesty as he returns over #200,000 lost by a Trader.

... flags off seventh edition The Government of the State of Osun has revealed that it has so far reached 210,000 vulnerable households with its Food Support Scheme, using a fair and systematic distribution network.  Osun government said the deployment of the World Bank approved social register has helped ensure that its intervention reaches those for whom it was designed. Recall that the government of the State of Osun started feeding 30,000 poor and vulnerable citizens across the State, with effect from the month of March 2021. Speaking during the flag-off of the distribution of the seventh edition, the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Wole Oyebamiji, called on vulnerable citizens that were yet to benefit from the scheme to exercise patience, adding that they have been  captured in the overall scheme. Maulud Nabbiy: Emulate the shining virtues of Prophet Muhammad, Oyetola tells Muslims.

Osun Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has sent greetings to Muslims in the State and across the world  as they mark the occasion of the Maulud Nabbiy, birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).  The Governor in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, enjoined the Muslim faithful to use the opportunity of this celebration to reflect on the lessons and teachings of the Prophet, whom he said, led a life of service to Allah and humanity.  Oyetola also urged them to emulate Prophet Muhammad’s shining virtues of love, compassion, tolerance and promotion of peaceful co-existence, noting that if they do this, the society will be much better.  He also called on Muslims in Osun and all Nigerians to use this occasion to pray for the peace, stability, progress and development of Osun in particular and the country in general.

The Governor of the State of Osun, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, has appointed Hon. Sunday Akere and Hon. Debo Badru as his Special Advisers on Political Matters. The Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs. Funke Egbemode, announced the appointment in a statement issued after the State's Executive Council Meeting on Monday. According to the statement, Akere and Badru's appointments take effect from October 18, 2021. Akere, a former Commissioner of Information and Strategy in the State, is an alumnus of the University of Ibadan where he obtained a Bachelor of Science. He is also a member of several professional bodies including Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria, and the Civilian Institute of Democratic Administration, Ghana. The State Government of  Osun has taken a giant leap in the direction of empowering the girl child against all forms of molestation as it launches  martial arts for the female gender.  This was a major activity that took place in Osogbo as the State joins the rest of the world to celebrate year 2021 edition of International Day of Girl Child. Speaking at the two-in- one programme which was organized by the State Ministry of Women, Children and Social Affairs, the Commissioner in the Ministry, Barr. Olubukola Olaboopo disclosed that the the martial arts training for girls has been fixed for Fridays and Saturdays at Moremi Hall, Government Secretariat,Abere and that interested trainees should contact the Ministry for further information. The Commissioner particularly harped on the need for every girl child to acquire the training as self-defense mechanism against rape and all forms of aggressions which are now rampant in the society. OSUN Govt. begins disbursement of #363m CBN- Supported MSMEs soft loans to residents.

...as over 2000 beneficiaries shower encomiums on govt.   Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has commenced the disbursement of Six Hundred and Thirty-Six Million, One Hundred and Ninety-Five Thousand Naira (N636.195,000.00) as soft loans to the citizens and residents of the State. The initiative, which was actualised through collaboration with the Central Bank of Nigeria-supported Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, was aimed at expanding the scope of businesses, trades, investments stimulating the economy and reducing the scourge of unemployment in the State. This is even as the over 2, 000 beneficiaries of the loan facility showered encomiums on the State Government for the kind gesture. The soft loans were disbursed through Osun Micro Credit Agency as part of efforts to ensure proper coordination. ...says Govt committed to Citizens'  security, welfare.  Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, on Monday signed the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Bill into law. He said the decision was aimed at further strengthening  the fundamental right to life and ensure adequate protection of lives and property of the citizens in the State. Oyetola who reassured of his Administration's commitment to citizens' security, pledged that the State would ensure full implementation and enforcement of the new law. OSUN Finance Commissioner Advocates Improved Federal Allocation to States.

Commissioner for Finance in Osun, Mr Bola Oyebamiji has called on the Revenue Allocation Mobilization Committee (RMFAC)  to do a review of the revenue allocation formula which will help states earn more from the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC). The Commissioner stated this during a meeting with the Federal Commissioner representing Osun at RMFAC, Mr Oladele Gboyega in preparation for the South-West zonal public hearing on the review of the vertical revenue allocation formula. Oyebamiji noted that if FAAC will adopt a just, fair and equitable revenue allocation formula for the country, then states of the federation need to earn more while the federal government should reduce its own share because it is the state governments that deal more directly with the masses. Nigerian Army begins recruitment exercise.

 The general public is hereby informed that the online application for the Nigerian Army recruitment exercise for 82nd regular recruits intake has commenced  and it will end on November 26th, 2021.
