The State Government of Osun has put together a 3 day training workshop to equip Planning, Research and Statistics officers in  Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government on effective service delivery. The workshop organized by  the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget in collaboration with the "Save The Children" initiative of the Federal Government is to ensure that every resident of the State of Osun, especially the vulnerable has access to quality and accessible social services. The Ikire residence of Osun Commissioner for Finance, Mr Bola Oyebamiji was on Wednesday turned to a Mecca of some sort as the league of Imams in Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan Federal Constituency held a special prayer session for the finance chief.  Osun State Government of under the leadership of Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola has put in place necessary measures to make this year's Eld- el-Kabir celebration convenient  for Osun indigenes coming to the State. The Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives and Empowerment in the State, Dr Bode Olaonipekun made this known today while addressing newsmen in his office. Dr Olaonipekun disclosed that, for those coming for Eld-el-Kabir celebration, the free train ride would depart Iddo railway terminus in Lagos on Sunday,18th and Monday, 19th July, 2021 by 10am respectively. He stated further that, the train would return to Lagos on Sunday, 25th July, 2021 at Osogbo railway terminus by 10.00am. The Commissioner urged all Osun Indigenes and those willing to travel down to the State to avail themselves of this free rail service and strictly observe the COVID-19 protocols.

The  State Government of Osun  has reemphasized its resolve that, effective from the 27th of August, 2021, all workers in the state  must wear a locally made fabric known as "Adire Eleko" to office. The directive is aimed at  promoting the  culture of Yoruba in and outside the civil service.
