Be innovative, prudent and shun corrupt practices, Governor Adeleke charges stakeholders

  Sunday Okunade  Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has charged  key stakeholders in his administration to be innovative, diligent, prudent and as well shun every form of corrupt practice which can have negative impact on the people of the State. Gov. Adeleke assures Osun citizens of more dividends of democracy

Olayemi Olojede Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has promised the people of the state more dividends of democracy through the provision of basic needs like  potable water among others. The newly appointed Board’s chairman of Water Corporation , Hon. Olayinka Sam Oyedotun, disclosed this on behalf of the Governor at the maiden meeting he held with the staff of the corporation. Osun Govt. procures water treatment chemicals

Olayemi Olojede As part of efforts at ensuring that members of the public have access to clean and potable water, the Osun State Government through the State's Water Corporation has procured water treatment chemicals for the benefit of general public. This was disclosed by the General Manager, Osun State Water corporation, Engr.(Mrs) Dupeola Jokotola, while speaking with newsmen in her office.  The General Manager who was represented by the Assistant General Manager, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit, Engr. Olayemi Olojede Commissioner for energy, Hon. Festus Adeyemo has urged members of staff of the Ministry of Energy to be loyal, dedicated and supportive of all Government policies and activities.  The newly appointed Commissioner gave this charge during the maiden meeting with the management team and staffers of the Ministry.  According to him, the Ministry needs a lot of proactive and innovative ideas that will move the state forward, explaining that the government will do all within its powers to create an enabling environment that will enhance productivity and better performance.  He further encouraged the members of staff to exhibit a high sense of discipline and perform their official duties in conformity with work ethics. Anthrax: Stay away from infected animals, Osun Govt. warns butchers

Jola Akintola has admonished the residents of Osun State, who have collected free insecticide treated nets, to use it judiciously and mainly for it's purpose to assist in the campaign for total elimination of malaria in the State. The Commissioner, who spoke through the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health,  Dr Isiaka Adekunle disclosed this at the Osun State Second ITN Campaign Coordination Network ( ICCN) meeting held in the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Health,  State Secretariat, Abere. Murder of 400 level LASU Student: Osun High Court sentences Prophet, student to death for conspiracy and murder

Ope BELLO Osun State High Court, sitting in Ikire, presided over by Honourable Justice Christiana  Olokede Obadina today convicted Prophet Philip Segun and Owolabi Adeeko for the murder of one Favour Duley Oladele, a final year student of Lagos State University. The Convicts are Prophet Philip Segun (42 years) and Owolabi Adeeko (23 years), while Bola Adeeko (46 years) was convicted for eating human flesh. The Convicts are facing two counts charge of conspiracy and murder, contrary to Section 324 and 319(1) of the Criminal Code Cap. 34 Laws of Osun State, 2002. The prosecution team from the Ministry of Justice was led by the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary, Barrister Adekemi Bello who appeared along with Barrister Ajibola Alade and others. Barrister Bello notified the Court during the trial that the Convicts committed the offence on 8th of December, 2019 and arraigned in the Court on 15th November, 2021. Diphtheria: Osun Primary Health Care Boss Alerts residents on outbreak of the disease in the State

Ope BELLO  The Executive Secretary of Osun State Primary Healthcare Development Board (OSPHCDB), Dr. Oluwole Fabiyi has called on parents/caregivers to ensure that their children get the anti-diphtheria vaccine as recommended in the childhood immunization schedule, following the outbreak of diphtheria in the State and some other states in the country. Dr. Fabiyi stated that diphtheria, a vaccine preventable disease is a serious bacteria infection that affects the nose, throat and skin of an individual. This announcement was contained in the press release signed by Dr. Oluwole Fabiyi and made available to media.
