Arbitrary Parking: Osun Govt. warns against practice

Kingsley Omoyeni Osun State government has warned motorists, especially commercial minibus and other heavy  vehicles against arbitrary parking by the road sides. The State government also frowns at the use of earpiece or earphones by drivers while driving, saying it causes distraction which eventually lead to road accidents.  The government spoke through the Commissioner  for  Transportation, Hon. Sesan Oyedele while responding to questions on a popular radio programme tagged: 'Aabo Loju Popo' Hon. Palliative: Committee begins distribution of rice tomorrow

 Sunday Okunade Following the hardship which many Nigerians are going through as a result of fuel subsidy removal, Osun Committee on palliative distribution will commence the distribution of rice to the residents of the State tomorrow. The Chairman, Palliative Distribution Committee, who also doubles as the Commissioner for Special Duties and Regional Integration, Dr. Bashir Salami made this known following a resolution reached at the Committee meeting held at the State Government Secretariat, Abere.    Segilola Babalola      Osun State Governor's wife, Chief( Mrs) Titilola Adeleke has encouraged all the breastfeeding mothers in the State to engage in exclusive first six month- breastfeeding and continued breastfeeding for two years or beyond for their new born child. Her Excellency stated her major reason, among others, to be that the breast milk provides all the required food nutrients and water that a new baby needs for the first six months of life which, she said, also protects the baby from any form of illness such as diarrhea, respiratory infections and malnutrition.
