Arbitrary Parking: Osun Govt. warns against practice
Kingsley Omoyeni Osun State government has warned motorists, especially commercial minibus and other heavy vehicles against arbitrary parking by the road sides. The State government also frowns at the use of earpiece or earphones by drivers while driving, saying it causes distraction which eventually lead to road accidents. The government spoke through the Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. Sesan Oyedele while responding to questions on a popular radio programme tagged: 'Aabo Loju Popo' Hon. Oyedele said the arbitrary parking of vehicles on the road sides is a serious offence which he said the State government will no longer overlook. He said vehicles are supposed to be parked completely off the road so as not to impede other road users thereby causing obstruction to the free flow of traffic within the town.
